Marakkar 'Direct OTT may be released
Producer Anthony Perumbavoor demanded that the theater owners pay Rs 40 crore as advance to Marakkar. It is learned that Mohanlal's Lucifer directed by Prithviraj got the same amount in advance. He also demanded that if the film is released in theaters, it should be screened in all theaters in Kerala for the first three weeks. But Fiok raised some obstacles to these two demands.
With this, the Film Chamber withdrew from the arbitration. Currently, the decision is left to producer Anthony Perumbavoor. With this, the possibility of Marakkar direct OTT release has increased. Although Fiok is still ready to negotiate the possibility of bringing the film to theaters, the likelihood between the producer and the theater owners is slim.
