Mahima began acting when she turned fifteen, stepping into the world through the Malayalam movie Karyasthan while also posing for ads around the same stretch. During those months, filmmaker Sami Sindhu reached out with a role in Samaveli - yet personal matters led her to step back. From another direction came an offer; producers working on Sattai put her name forward instead. That project became her debut in Tamil cinema. Midway through Plus Two, acting began when Mahima stepped into Arivazhagi as the main character. Following Sattai, school pulled her back - time paused for lessons.

Four Tamil movies include her performances. For Ahat, it is Exodus 150. In Kitana, two characters belong to her. Madhura Raja starred Mammootty alongside her as the main actress. Her first film was Kutram 23. Into movies she stepped through a Tamil picture called Mahima Sattai, back in 2012. Village life swirls around a classroom where one teacher tries to make a difference.

Not many know, but Mahima Nambiar grew up in Kasaragod. Tamil and Malayalam films make up most of her work. Back in 2014, she finished college with a degree in English. Dancing, especially classical styles, keeps her busy off set - singing does too.
