Dulquer Salman movie Kurup
From Srinath Rajendran comes a movie called Kurup, drawn from real events surrounding Sukumara Kurup. Portraying the man himself is Dulquer Salman, stepping into one of his most talked-about roles yet. Known across Kerala for decades, that figure’s story now unfolds through this project. With thirty-five crores backing it, the production marks the costliest venture Dulquer has ever taken part in.
Shobhitha Dhulipala takes center stage here - her first appearance in a Malayalam film after Moothon. Alongside her stand Indrajith Sukumaran, Sunny Wayne, Shine Tom Chacko, followed closely by Vijayaraghavan, P Balachandran, Surabhi Lakshmi, and finally Shivajith Padmanabhan. Words came together under Jithin K Jose; shaping them further were Daniel Soyuz Nair plus KS Aravind handling script and narration. Behind the camera, visuals flow through Nimish Ravi’s lens while sounds rise from Sushin Shyam’s compositions. Each frame shaped quietly without flash, every note placed just so.
Out in the open now, the second look poster for 'Kuruppi' arrives through Srinath Rajendran’s direction, featuring Dulquar Salman up front. Wafer Films joins forces with M Star Entertainment - held by Dulquar himself - to bring it to life. Locations stretch across Kerala, then jump to Ahmedabad, slide into Bombay, swing wide to Dubai, touch down in Mangalore, before ending near Mysore. After years apart, Srinath and Dulquar meet again on set, this time for Kurup, following their first turn together in Second Show. Something buzzing around fans right now? That Kurup movie with Dulquar. He plays someone new here, not like before. Pictures started spreading across the internet yesterday. Looks like he shaped his look exactly like the real person.
Film dialogue isn’t staying just in Malayalam - it’s shifting into Telugu, then slipping into Tamil, jumping across to Hindi, finally landing in Kannada.
