    Nedumudi Venu was born on May 22, 1948, the youngest of five sons of PK Keshavan Pillai and Kunjikutty Amma, a school teacher couple in Nedumudi, Alappuzha district. Venugopalan was born to Nedumudi Venu. He has four elder brothers.

During his studies at SD College, Alappuzha, he became active in the art world through plays written by his classmate Fazil.

Nedumudi came into the film world at a time when Jayan was dying and there was a renaissance in Malayalam cinema. Nedumudi Venu was one of the most talented actors in Malayalam cinema. Venugopal (born 22 May 1948, He passed away on October 11, 2021. ) is considered one of the greatest actors in the history of Indian cinema. Nedumudi Venu has acted in over 500 films in Malayalam and Tamil. He is also involved in screenwriting and has directed a film titled Pooram.
He has won two National Film Awards and six Kerala State Film Awards for his performances in cinema. Apart from acting, he has also written stories for a few films. He made his film debut in 1978 with Aravindan's Thampu. His role in Bharathan's Aravam was notable. They were thankful for the step-change in their roles due to Padmarajan's film One Filevan.
   Became one of the busiest co-stars in Malayalam. Nedumudi's characters were strengthened by her acting skills and variety in dialogue presentation. Nedumudi was also active in television series. He is also an accomplished soft-spoken reader. He passed away on October 11, 2021. He was admitted to the intensive care unit of a private hospital in Thiruvananthapuram. She has been battling and receiving treatment for stomach ailments for the past few months.
