Deepika Padukone is ready to act
From Denmark came Deepika Padukone, the child of athlete Prakash Padukone. At age eleven, her home shifted to Bangalore. A golfer on the rise - she has a younger sister who swings clubs.
One day, Deepika stepped into movies through a Kannada picture called 'Aishwarya'. After that came 'Om Shanti Om' - a tale shaped around coming back to life. Money poured in when it hit theaters. Her role grabbed attention, leading straight to a Filmfare prize meant for fresh faces. That award? It had her name on it.
Om Shanti Om Deepika 2007 hit film
That year, Deepika took home the Filmfare Best Newcomer trophy. Next came Bachchana A Hasino - her 2008 project hit screens quietly but surely. By 2009, four roles found her: Chandni Chowk To China moved fast, Billu brought stillness, Love Aajkal spun warmth, while May Aur Miss Khanna added spark. Time shifted to 2010 when Karthik stepped into Calling Karthik first, then Housefull filled frames loud, Lafange Parinthe stayed brief, Break Ke Baad held tension long, and Khele Hum Jee Jaan Se closed it calm. After those years, several of his movies pulled crowds steadily.
Her later movies did well at the ticket counters. On a film set named Bachchana A Haseeno, March 2008 brought her face-to-face with Ranbir Kapoor. Following those days, outings with Deepika Padukone and Ranbir Kapoor became a common sight. Yet by 2009, their bond had quietly faded. Away from cameras after that, Deepika chose quiet over headlines.
